Adopt a Yak!
Your organization/company can also purchase an Adopt a Yak kit for $100. All proceeds will go towards Ventures in Development’s Social Innovation Factory, whose mission is to promote social entrepreneurship in Greater China.
The kit includes two baby yaks and one yak hat, which come in a knitting bag. You can circulate your yaks within your organization to encourage community service, volunteerism and engagement. Each member will get the yak for a few days, and during that time they must complete a “Yak-sy Act of Kindness” – anything from volunteering at a soup kitchen to making a microfinance loan online. Collect photos and descriptions from your members to show how your team is making a difference!
